Burden? No!

I am pleased with The Jewish Standard’s coverage of special needs (Feb. 17), but I object to the use of the word “burden” in your cover page headline. Rather than calling the special needs’ pricetag a “burden,” it should be looked upon as yet another “opportunity” for the Jewish community to do what is right for the children who desperately need these services. Choosing one’s words carefully to send the right message requires reflection to craft a positive vehicle to convey those sentiments.
