After serving 30 years of a life sentence, Jonathan Pollard was released in time for Shabbat.
Convicted American Jewish spy Jonathan Pollard was released from prison Friday morning – a day early due to the Jewish Sabbath – after serving 30 years of a life sentence for passing classified information to Israel.
Pollard will reportedly be required to stay in the US for 5 years and plans to reside in the NY area.
There have been reports that Pollard would be allowed to move to Israel if he renounced his US citizenship, but they are unconfirmed.
