‘Two Flags’ over Jersey City — and at EWR

Irmari Nacht’s photo, “Two Flags Jersey City 911 Memorial” has been selected as part of the yearlong digital display at Newark Airport’s new Terminal A that honors 250 years of New Jersey’s history as the country celebrates its 250th as well. (New Jersey, as one of the 13 colonies, is as old as the country.)

Ms. Nacht, who lives in Englewood, has combined Jersey City’s 911 stark memorial, called “Empty Sky”; the 19th-century Romanesque terminal building; sightseeing visitors, and two flags — the one we fly now and the early 13-star one. The two flags unite our history, from then to now, she said.
