Teaneck renames a street for former mayor
Last week, the Teaneck Township Council renamed a portion of Grayson Place as Paul S. Ostrow Boulevard. Mr. Ostrow, a lifelong resident of Teaneck, lives on Grayson Place with his wife, Ricki; it’s also where their children, Lauren and Michael, grew up.
The renaming was to recognize Paul S. Ostrow’s decades of service to the citizens of Teaneck.
Mr. Ostrow also is a past president and life member of the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a 25-year member of Teaneck library board. He is involved in many programs, including the Bergen County Community/County Health Improvement Partnership and Teaneck’s Emergency Response Team and Economic Development Corp. He’s also the Teaneck Council liaison to the Teaneck Board of Education. The Ostrows were long time members of the Jewish Center of Teaneck; he was also named a B’nai B’rith Man of the Year.
