Sinai NJ Schools’ art show highlights student talent and creative expression

Sinai students and their families gathered at Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield on April 19 to celebrate their creative achievements at this year’s Unique Inspirations Student Art Show. Hundreds of people were there to support the young artists.

It showcased artwork created by students across Sinai’s New Jersey schools through the Paley‑Mironov Art Therapy Program, celebrating the artists’ imagination and expressive growth.

Since 2014, the art show, made possible through the generosity of Bear Givers, has been a beloved highlight of the Sinai academic year, bringing together students, families, and community members to celebrate the students’ artistic accomplishments.

For many students, art is an important means of expression. It allows them to share thoughts and feelings that can be difficult for them to communicate verbally. Through Sinai’s Paley‑Mironov Art Therapy Program, students learn strategies to better understand and regulate their emotions, which supports the development of self‑awareness and a stronger belief in their own abilities. The creative work encourages confidence, helps students build connections with peers, and strengthens their ability to cope with challenges, all while easing stress and anxiety.

Upcoming art shows featuring artwork by students are set for May 12 from the Irving Montak Sinai School at SAR Academy and May 13 from Sinai at Yeshiva of Central Queens.
