Season’s greetings

’Tis the season… to well, daven, mostly, with all the covid-related restrictions we discuss in this week’s cover story. But in earlier, less wired times, it was all the season to send and receive post cards wishing friends and family a shanah tova.

We at this paper wish to take this opportunity to wish our readers — and our community — a healthy, happy, and yes again, healthy new year of 5782. And in that spirit, we’d like to share a few of our favorite Rosh Hashanah cards from the 20th century.
