NJOP marks 32 years
The National Jewish Outreach program, now known as NJOP, celebrated 32 years of achievements at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan on February 4.
The independent, non-denominational, non-profit organization was established in response to the assimilation and lack of Jewish knowledge that causes Jews to leave Jewish life. Through its educational programming and social media platforms, NJOP conveys the relevance and vibrancy of Judaism to contemporary Jews by providing a greater understanding and knowledge of the basics of Judaism and Jewish life. Its programs include Read Hebrew America and Canada, Shabbat Across America and Canada, Shabbat and High Holy Day beginners services, and crash courses in basic Judaism and Jewish history. They have been offered at 5,127 synagogues and Jewish organizations across North America and in 41 other countries around the world. For more information, go to NJOP.org.
