Why Israel Needs Weapons

Phil Sullivan of Woodstock wonders why the U.S. sends military weapons to Israel and not to Gaza. (July 15.) A similar question: Why does the town of Woodstock give money to its police and not to bank robbers, terrorists, axe murderers, rapists, burglars, and other assorted malefactors?
