Can Kutsher’s, the Catskills’ last kosher resort, be saved?

Roz Green has been going to Kutsher’s for “at least 30 years” – and, says the Cliffside Park resident, she “will be going for yuntif this year too.”
“It’s haimish,” she says. “I like the people who come there.” She’s made many friends at Kutsher’s over the decades, she adds, “and some are still around.”
When Dudu Fisher, the Israeli singer and cantor, led High Holy Day services at Kutsher’s for more than 20 years, “he was a draw,” Green says. “He’s not going to be there but I will go anyway; I feel like it’s my second home.”
She plans to stay for about 10 days, until the day after Yom Kippur.
“I was born on Yom Kippur,” she says, noting that it does not always fall on the same day, “and if my children can make it during the time I am here,” they come to visit with her.
