Yeshiva University will celebrate its first Day of Giving on September 20, encouraging students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to come together in a collective show of support for the university.
Using the online crowdfunding platform Charidy, YU hopes to raise $5 million in one day to support the university and help maintain undergraduate and graduate scholarships, community engagement, student life, and career development. Every contribution made on the Day of Giving will be quadrupled, thanks to the generosity of several matching donors. However, under Charidy’s rules, YU must reach its full $5 million goal within 24 hours, or all donations will be returned.
The campaign’s theme is “I Am YU” and will highlight the people and communities the university touches.
