At a time when social media has become a battleground, 30 boys and girls from East and West Jerusalem meet on a weekly basis, and train together for a common goal. Through running, they learn to get to know each other, to reach out and to encourage, to help whoever is faltering and to cheer on whoever succeeds.
These kids don’t need to be convinced that changes are possible — they already know that is true.
In the most complicated city in the world, hope grows from the cracks in the wall. It is the responsibility of us, the adults, to create a framework for young people in which they can meet and to prove to the whole world that Jerusalem can be a great city — a city of cooperation, of differences and diversity, of strength and great hope.
