Vigil aims to end gun violence

The Bergen County community holds a vigil on Sunday, December 8, at 4 p.m., at the Central Unitarian Church, 156 Forest Ave. in Paramus. It will commemorate the anniversary of the 2012 Newtown, Connecticut, massacre and honor the 20 children and six educators who were killed by a mass shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary School and all of those killed by gun violence in the United States.

Among the co-sponsors are NCJW Bergen County Section, Central Unitarian Church, Congregation Beth Sholom and Temple Emeth in Teaneck, Temple Israel & JCC in Ridgewood,and Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County. State Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg will be the guest speaker.
