Ultimate Frisbee for kids - The Jewish Standard

Zach Zimmer of Saddle River, a student at Ramsey High School, has organized a free Ultimate Frisbee clinic with the New York Rumble, a semi-professional ultimate Frisbee team, for Bergen County middle and high schoolers. It will be held at Superdome Sports in Waldwick on Wednesday, November 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. Both experienced and beginner players are welcome.

Joel Silver, a Jewish Hollywood mega-producer who grew up in West Orange, and his friends developed Ultimate Frisbee in Maplewood in 1968. It is a popular sport at Jewish sleepaway camps. Zach, who learned the game at Camp Ramah, hopes to generate some excitement locally and to form a club team or two through the upcoming clinic.
