On Sunday, October 6, the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County will offer a teshuva kinus with three mini-shiurum after Selichot at 8 a.m., and Shacharit at 8:30. Light refreshments will precede the shiurim, which are from 9:20 to 10:30 a.m.

Rabbi Yaacov Neuberger of Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield will speak on “The Thirteen Midot: A Covenant? An Incantation? Or a Template? Finding Meaning in the Yom Kippur Selichot.” Dean Rachel Friedman of Lamdeinu in Teaneck will discuss “Mending and Making Amends: The Message of Se’ir La’Azazel in the Yom Kippur Musaf,” and Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot of Congregation Netivot Shalom in Teaneck will talk about “Yearning for God’s Presence: The Road from Tisha Be-Av to Yom Kippur.”

The program is at Congregation Shaare Tefillah, 510 Claremont Ave., in Teaneck.
