Tenafly JCC to screen Israeli film about coming of age in the IDF

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades screens “Beneath the Helmet: From High School to the Home Front,” the journey of five Israeli high school graduates, who like all their peers are drafted into the army at 18. The film, from the creators of the PBS-featured documentary “Israel Inside: How a Small Nation Makes a Big Difference,” will be shown on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
