Teens invited to visit museum for its exhibit on Auschwitz
Teens and pre-teens from Rockland County and northern Bergen County are invited to join a fully sponsored trip to Manhattan’s Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust to see the exhibition, “Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away.” The trip is set for Monday, November 11, Veteran’s Day, so many schools will be closed.
Participants have to bring lunch. The group will leave from Beth Am Temple in Pearl River at 9:30 a.m.; the 90-minute docent-led tour will begin at 11:30.
The cost, including transportation and museum admission, is sponsored by the Al Loeb Scholarship Fund of Beth Am Temple. Beth Am Temple Religious School principal Karen Herskowitz and four other adults will chaperone the trip.
