Teaneck ‘Teen Idol’ auditions

This year’s annual Teaneck Teen Idol, featuring talented teens who will sing for the Teaneck Teen Idol prize, is set for Saturday, January 18, at 8 p.m., at Teaneck High School. Contestants can audition on November 19 and 20, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., at THS, Room #244 (chorus room). The contest is open to all 13- to-18-year-olds living or going to public, private, or religious schools in Teaneck.

Auditioners will sing a two-minute a capella song. They must bring proof of age, residency, or school attendance, and $5 registration fee.

There will be free coaching and song selection guidance from seasoned professionals. On the night of the contest, finalists’ performance schedules can be adjusted for Shabbat. For information, go to www.teaneckcommunitychorus.org or call Jack Aaker at (201) 390-8683.
