Rutgers Hillel has hired Jeremy Davis as its new engagement associate, Alicia Rosenbaum as the new IACT Birthright Israel coordinator, and Avery Elliott as programming and marketing associate. They started their new jobs on August 22.

Jeremy Davis, who comes from Long Island, went to the University of Delaware, where he was Hillel president for two years, and he was the Springboard Ezra Jewish Education Fellow at Hillel Baruch College for a year. Alicia Rosenbaum is from Mount Laurel and was a preschool teacher in Philadelphia. She has a master’s degree in Jewish experiential education, with a concentration in Israel education, from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Avery Elliott, who uses the pronouns they/them, is from Brooklyn, where their work involved marketing and freelance work with musicians looking to increase their reach and build connections with their audience. They attended Columbia College Chicago, where they were involved with Metro Chicago Hillel.

As the three new Hillel staffers settle into their new roles at Rutgers Hillel, they want to quickly begin building relationships with students, identify areas to improve student and community engagement, and prepare for welcoming back students at the opening barbecue and the New Student Shabbat.
