Russian shabbaton in Connecticut

More than 1,200 people attended “A Weekend to Remember,” the 11th annual Russian Shabbaton, in Stamford, Connecticut, last month. The Bris Avrohom organization helped coordinate the event and brought many participants. At the weekend, people learned about their heritage and their connection to Yiddishkeit, and they thought about their future connections to the Jewish people. Dani Dayan, the consul general of Israel in New York, the keynote speaker, sat at one of the Bris Avrohom tables.
