The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County will offer a community update on September 28, at 7 p.m., in the Schwartz Family Social Hall of the Rockland Jewish Community Campus in West Nyack. The meeting will be the organization’s largest community convening this year and it will mark the launch of Federation’s 2017 Annual Campaign. Registration for the evening is open at www.jewishrockland.org/events.

At the update, attendees will hear from Rockland’s Jewish leadership about “community weaving” and the future of the Jewish community in Rockland and worldwide. Dr. Ralph Nurnberger, international affairs professor at Georgetown University, is the keynote speaker. A government affairs and international relations specialist, he will discuss current U.S.-Israel relations and speculate about how the relationship between the two countries could change under a Clinton or Trump administration.

Federation donors of 18 years or more will be honored at the evening, which includes a dessert reception. Register at www.jewishrockland.org/events or call (845) 362-4200.
