Rockland Federation Midreshet session to begin

The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County’s fall Midreshet session begins classes on September 28 and 29. They include courses on Ashkenazim and Sephardim, Jewish poetry, Jewish responses to modernity and “The Bible Through a Two-Way Mirror.”

Instructors include Leslie Goldress, who has taught Melton and Midreshet since they started in Rockland; Rabbi Daniel Graber, who received ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a master of arts in Jewish education from JTS’s William Davidson School; Dr. Rabbi Dr. Jill Hackell, who received her M.D. degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and is the rabbi at the West Clarkstown Jewish Center; and Rabbi Brian Leiken, the senior rabbi at Temple Beth Sholom since 2012.
