Remembering the victims of the Jersey City kosher market shooting
A large group of community members gathered with Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey for a night of remembrance in Jersey City to memorialize the tragedy that happened there three years ago. Participants included community partners, including the Israeli American Council and ADL, uniting to shine a light against hate and antisemitism.
On December 10, 2019, a shooting at a kosher market in Jersey City’s Greenville section left four victims dead. They were Jersey City police detective Joseph Seals; Mindy Ferencz, 31, the store’s co-owner; Moshe Deutsch, 24, a customer; and Douglas Miguel Rodriguez, 49, a store employee.
