Over 80 volunteers helped the sisterhood of Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley in Woodcliff Lake assemble and deliver 840 mishloach manot packages for Purim, which begins the evening of March 9. Led by chairs Jana Slaten and Debra Feiler, the fundraiser supports charities, including Mazon, a Jewish Response to Hunger.
In anticipation of Purim, a group of dedicated volunteers gathered to pack mishloach manot to be distributed to hundreds of friends of Valley Chabad. The afternoon was led by program director Sara Drizin, third from left. The annual project follows the Purim tradition of giving gifts of food to neighbors on the holiday, and raises funds for the Chabad Hebrew School Scholarship Fund.
