Make a difference for Thanksgiving

Each year Wayne’s senior and social services department compiles a list of local families who need help during the Thanksgiving season. The department enlists the community’s support in preparing Thanksgiving baskets. Each basket contains the makings of a complete holiday meal, including a frozen turkey, fresh vegetables, and all the fixings.

The Wayne Interfaith Network food pantry, a coalition of volunteers from local houses of worship and service organizations in the greater Wayne area, commits to serving a large portion of these families, but it needs help.

WIN is looking for individuals and service-oriented organizations to contribute by sending checks or supermarket gift cards earmarked for “Thanksgiving” to the Wayne Interfaith Network, POBox 3341, Wayne, NJ 07474-3341. For more information, go to, email, or call (973) 595-1900.
