Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls in Teaneck collected donations of individually wrapped snacks and drinks for local hospital workers. The motivation behind the drive was for the students and their families to express their gratitude to those workers for their heroic work, putting themselves at risk to help those who need it most. As word of the drive spread, people donated so extensively that hundreds of snacks and drinks were collected; they were stored at the Teaneck home of Gabrielle and Daniel Altman. Ma’ayanot seniors Talia Adler, Sophia Altman, and Dani Borger delivered more than 20 large boxes of snacks to Holy Name Medical Center, Englewood Health, Hackensack University Medical Center, Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and the Bergenfield Food Pantry; packing supplies were provided by Five Star Caterers of Teaneck.
