The Jewish Family Service of North Jersey’s annual calendar datebook will honor Dr. Michael Goldberg, an active JFSNF board member who has been its vice president, coordinated successful events, and chairs the fundraising committee.
Dr. Goldberg brought the DASH program (Dental Assistance for Survivors of the Holocaust), which provides free dental care to survivors who cannot afford it. JFSNJ is the only organization in New Jersey, and one of only three in the nation, to provide such care.
A dentist for more than 40 years, Dr. Goldberg was inspired in part by his wife Leslie’s grandmother, Lilli Mueller, a Holocaust survivor whom he treated toward the end of her life.
Dr. Goldberg also has been president of Temple Beth Rishon in Wyckoff and a member of the board of health in Franklin Lakes.
The calendar datebook, co-chaired by Susan Nagler and Elaine Schlossberg, is a fundraiser that supports the programs and services JFSNJ has provided to Northern New Jersey for 72 years. To place an ad, go to www.jfsnorthjersey.org and click on “What’s New,” or call (973) 595-0111. The ad deadline is September 30.
