To mark Tu B’Shevat, Congregation B’nai Israel in Emerson hosted an interfaith program. Speakers included Esra Tozan of the Peace Islands Institute; Imam Aga, director of the North East Islamic Community Center in Wayne; and Rabbi Debra Orenstein of Wayne’s Congregation B’nai Israel. The speakers explored what their faith traditions teach about caring for the environment. CBI began its interfaith programming and dialogue with the Peace Islands Institute in 2016.
