Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey will honor the Goodman family –- Lawrence z”l and Rosalyn Goodman, David and Hope Goodman, Caryn Goodman and Mitchell Caplan, and Mindy and Jason Sickle, and their children. The annual celebration is set for Sunday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m., at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest.

The Goodman family has been committed to JFCS for the last 50 years, working to ensure that northern New Jersey has a safety net. Larry and Roz Goodman laid the foundation, and their children and grandchildren have followed them — dedicated, proactive advocates for the organization. The family’s indelible impact on JFCS and the broader community will be evident for many generations.

“For over five decades, my family has been involved as volunteers and lay leaders at JFCS,” David Goodman, a member of JFCS’s board of directors, said. “We are committed to this organization based on a profound desire to help those in need. The range of services delivered in a caring way is truly extraordinary. So many more people are struggling right now in innumerable ways. For them, JFCS is the very definition of a safety net.”

Proceeds from the evening will go toward supporting the wide variety of social and mental health services that JFCS provides the community. These services include customized therapy options, a kosher food pantry, kosher meals on wheels, services for older adults, programing for Holocaust survivors, career services, case management services, and emergency financial assistance.

JFCS invited the community to join November 13 to thank the Goodman family for their continued support of its mission — empowering people and transforming lives. For more information, go to jfcsnnj.org/rsvp.
