Gala Purim lunch & learn with music
The Dor L’Dor group at Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood meets on Wednesday, March 1, at the shul to hear Estee Balk’s Purim talk, “Hashem! Don’t forsake me!” It’s a close look at Esther’s experience in the palace in the the Book of Esther and Psalm 22 (Megilat Esther and Tehillim Perek Chaf Bet).
After the lecture, Cantor Eric Freeman, who is a keyboardist, will perform a selection of Yiddish and Hebrew songs and classics from the Great American Songbook.
