Federation provides security training for local synagogues
The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey has provided a training program, called “Run. Hide. Fight.” to area synagogues, including Kol Dorot in Oradell. This nationally recognized program helps train community members about what to do when they are faced with an active shooter. The training comes highly recommended by law enforcement across the country. Tim Torell, JFNNJ’s director of Jewish community security, is a certified instructor and can provide free “Run. Hide. Fight.” trainings to an organization, arrange a free vulnerability risk assessment, or assist in other security-related matters. Email him at timothyt@jfnnj.org or call (201) 820-3978.
