Empowering women in Rockland
The JCC Rockland, Rockland Jewish Family Service, and Good Samaritan Hospital will offer the Women’s Empowerment Symposium on Tuesday, November 12, beginning with workshops at 5 p.m.
The keynote speaker, the Israeli-American author Naomi Ragen, will speak at 7:30. There will be health and wellness workshops, vendors, and a grab-and-go dinner from Lillian’s Cafe. Workshops include Budokon yoga, a discussion about “Talking to Kids About Food and Their Weight: Helping Without Hurting,” mindfulness, music and movement; Zumba, and a discussion on breast health.
The symposium is part of the JCC Rockland’s Festival of Arts, Books, & Culture, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary. It will run from November 1 to December 3.
