Lubavitch on the Palisades celebrated Chanukah with menorah lightings in Alpine and Tenafly. Alpine’s inaugural menorah lighting was on the fourth night of Chanukah, and Tenafly’s 29th lighting was at Huyler Park. Participants at both heard inspiring words and snacked on jelly donuts, hot cocoa, and Chanukah gelt. The celebrations were coordinated by menorah lighting committees for both towns, Jonathan Mangot of Alpine, the Tenafly Police Department, town officials, and the rabbis and staff of Lubavitch on the Palisades.
