Chai Lifeline’s “Soaring Beyond — Giving Families the Wings to Fly,” its annual gala, is set for Monday, December 5, at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan. It will begin with a reception at 6 p.m.; dinner at 7:15. Ethan Zohn, who survived cancer and won the reality series “Survivor Africa,” will be the master of ceremonies.
The gala honors the late Evan Levy with a fund in his memory, which will provide financial support for families in crisis. Honorees include Susan Mascitelli, the Maimonides Medical Achievement award-winner; Ben and Hindy (Bertram) Schlossberg, and Moshe Buchen, Camp Simcha Appreciation award-winners.
