Middle school teens from Valley Chabad’s Linking Hearts program visited the Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale on January 17 for an intergenerational program. They made art from clay and played kosher bingo, learning about the traditions and customs of kashrut.

The group meets monthly on Tuesday afternoons at the Jewish Home and is open to all middle school teens regardless of affiliation; the requirement for membership is the desire to do a mitzvah and bring joy to seniors.

Valley Chabad Teen Leadership Initiative offers a wide range of volunteering and community service programs for middle and high school teens throughout the Pascack Valley and Saddle River communities. For information, call (201) 476-0157 or go to valleychabadteens.org.
