Celebrating Beethoven in Tenafly
Pianist Steven Masi and violinist Samuel Katz, both on the faculty at the Thurnauer School of Music, and cellist Barbara Mallow perform “Beethoven at 250,” featuring the “Ghost” and “Archduke” trios by Beethoven, at the school, part of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, on Sunday, March 1, at 4 p.m. A reception follows.
Dorothy Kaplan Roffman, Thurnauer’s founding director, said, “We are delighted to present such fine musicians performing these two great masterpieces by Beethoven. This is a special way to celebrate the enduring legacy of Beethoven in his 250th year.” The concert will be at the JCC’s Eric Brown Theater, 411 East Clinton Ave., Tenafly.
