Ben Porat Yosef will hold its annual dinner on Monday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the Grove in Cedar Grove. This year’s dinner celebrates BPY’s growth over the last 19 years. The honorees are Chedva and David Breau, Dr. Talia Hindin, and Cori A. Robinson.

Chedva and David Breau are the parents of four girls, all past and present BPY students. Both David and Chedva have been involved in BPY leadership and committees. David was a board member for many years; he’s been board secretary, the chair of the committee on trustees, and a legal committee member. He also was a corporal in an infantry division of the IDF. Chedva helped many shlichim transition to their new homes over the years. The couple lives in Englewood and are members of Kehilat Kesher Synagogue, where Chedva chaired the youth committee; she also is a board member of the One Family Fund.

Dr. Talia Hindin is BPY’s school psychologist; students know her as Dr. Talia. She is passionate about students’ social and emotional well-being and works to help students with the skills and insight they need. Through class wide activities, individual or group sessions, and collaboration with teachers and parents, she guides the students to reach their fullest potential. Outside of school, she is the program coordinator for Yesh Tikva’s Fertility Friends program, which provides emotional support for couples facing infertility. She has five children, four of whom are BPY students.

Cori Robinson has been a parent at Ben Porat Yosef since her daughter was in the nursery program. Her family chose BPY because of the school’s warmth, its appreciation for both Sephardic and Ashkenazic traditions, and its reputation for excellence in both Judaic and general studies. Cori and her husband, Rabbi Gavriel Z. Bellino, and their children split their time between Teaneck and the East Village, where Gavriel is the rabbi of the Sixth Street Community Synagogue. Cori has volunteered on the walkathon and auction committees; she’s chaired the auction committee for the last four years. She also has been a board vice president, is a member of the finance and executive committees, and chairs the legal committee.
