With regards to your Oct. 10 holiday feature, how come all the recipes involve meat products? There is a growing segment of the Jewish community that is vegetarian, and for them these recipes are useless. No way am I suggesting that you not include recipes using meat, but being the number of vegetarians are growing in our community, it would be nice if you could include at least one recipe that would meet their needs.

The editor responds: Go to jstandard.com, click on blogs on the menu at the left, look for “Random Kinds of Blogging,” and you will find a recipe for “faux foie,” aka mock chopped liver.
