The Moriah School in Englewood held its 53rd annual dinner on motzei Shabbat on March 3 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford. Nearly 700 came to celebrate the school. Abby and Scott Herschmann were the guests of honor, Dana Septimus and Joseph Feldman were the Young Leadership awardees, and teachers Nini Berger and Shoshi Hason received Rabbi J. Shelley Applbaum z”l Service awards. More than $1.2 million was raised for Moriah’s scholarship and financial aid programs.
The program opened with the Moriah choir, followed by a welcome from Moriah’s board president, Aaron Yunis. Next, the head of school, Daniel Alter, presented “Moriah Moments.” Dinner was served in one of the stadium’s field-access clubs.
Alen Gollender and Alex Solomon were the dinner campaign co-chairs, and Nira Feldman, Shira Forman, Talia Gollender, Rachel Heumann, and Lisa Schechter were the dinner co-chairs.
