Jerry H. Gutwetter, 90, of Saddle Brook, died Oct. 18.

A World War II Army veteran, he graduated Rutgers University and earned a master’s from Seton Hall University. He was a teacher in Saddle Brook for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis; children, Michael (Roz) of Ramsey, David (Caren Yegelwel) of Glen Rock, and Jill Singer of Santa Fe, N.M.; six grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ralph Singer of San Francisco, and friend, Stanley Lennard.

Donations can be sent to the Helen I. Smith School in Saddle Brook, Glen Rock Jewish Center, or Jewish National Fund. Arrangements were by Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel, Paramus.
