As part of Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s “One Book, One Community” programming, Temple Emeth offers a Shabbaton on this year’s selection, “A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka,” by Lev Golinkin. At 9 a.m., Rabbi Steven Sirbu leads Torah study using ancient and modern sources on “Bullying and the Treatment of the Stranger.” During services at 10:30, he will incorporate key themes from the book as part of the liturgy.
