Jewish Book Month is a movable feast.
Like everything else on the Jewish calendar, it is moored to the lunar calendar ““ until everything changes and it’s not. It always is the month before Chanukah ““ a time of year when Jews buy even more books than usual.
This year, Jewish Book Month is October 26 through November 26.
To mark it, we present a close look at a local first-time novelist and her newly published book, as well as some background on a more well-established Jewish writer.
